There is only ONE GOD: the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and of all mankind. This One God, the I AM, who in Ex 3:15 says "And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, YHWH God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. God is a Spirit (John 4:24), the Eternal One, the Creator of all things, and of all men. Thus making Him their Father (through creation) (Malachi 2:10). YHWH is the FIRST and the LAST, and beside Him there is no God (Isa. 44:6).
There was no GOD FORMED before him, neither shall there be after Him (Isa. 43:10).
Jesus, his Hebrew name being Yeshua, came as the Messiah to teach his people how to live the Torah. He will come again and set up the Messanic kingdom on this earth.
When a person realizes they are a sinner and need turn to God, they will repent, be immersed in the name of Yeshua for the remission (forgiveness) of sins, and receive the Holy Ghost, and will continue a godly life (Acts 2:26-41).
How to live a godly life will be found in the Torah. When the gentiles began to turn to God in great numbers, their needed to be a decision as to how to deal with these people that did not know what God expected of them. This issue was brought before the authorities of the council of Jeruselem. Since someone who is not grounded in Torah has no idea what is expected of them the decision was made to instruct them to begin by observing four basic issues.
Acts 15:19-21
19 “Therefore, my opinion is that we should not put obstacles in the way of the Goyim (Gentiles) who are turning to God. 20 Instead, we should write them a letter telling them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from fornication, from what is strangled and from blood. 21 For from the earliest times, Moshe has had in every city those who proclaim him, with his words being read in the synagogues every Shabbat.”
CJB
By beginning with the four basic rules, Gentile could go to the synagogues and hear the Torah, learn, and grow in their walk with God. Today when we come to God through faith in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) we start our walk with the basics and then learn more. As we learn to "be like Yeshua" we will learn about his belief system and how he taught to live God's Torah. As we gather for scripture study we will learn how to live a godly life.
